About
I am a Biomedical Science graduate with a strong grounding in biological and medical sciences, and I currently hold an offer for Graduate Entry Medicine. My degree has provided me with a solid understanding of key areas such as cell biology, physiology, and biochemistry, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
I am keen to become a biology tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand complex ideas and find it rewarding to support academic progress. I have experience explaining scientific concepts to peers during my degree, which has helped me develop a clear, structured, and adaptable approach to teaching.
My tutoring style is student-led, meaning I prioritise identifying each student’s individual needs, strengths, and areas of difficulty. I aim to tailor sessions to their learning style, encouraging active participation, questions, and discussion rather than passive learning. I believe students learn best when they are engaged and confident, so I focus on building understanding step-by-step and reinforcing core concepts through practice and feedback.
I am confident in my ability to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and developing at their own pace. My goal is to help students not only improve their biology knowledge but also build long-term confidence and effective exam technique.
