Teaching Techniques & Methodology
I begin by identifying the student’s weak areas and misconceptions. I prepare targeted practice questions and go through each mistake step by step, explaining the reasoning clearly. Students then redo the question and attempt similar ones to reinforce understanding. I encourage questions at any time and am happy to help with schoolwork or clarify doubts during lessons.
Typical Length of a Lesson
Each lesson is typically 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s level and attention span. Time is allocated for concept explanation, guided practice, and reinforcement.
Qualifications / Experience
I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Biomedical Engineering at Temasek Polytechnic. I have interned at NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (Primary Care & Family Medicine), where I worked closely with healthcare professionals and handled research-related tasks. I also have experience teaching a science lesson to young students and explaining technical concepts clearly through academic and project work.
Target Students
Primary school students (Math & Science) and lower secondary students (Math), typically ages 7–14. I focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and good learning habits.
