About Harrison
I am a Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering, with a BEng in Biomedical Engineering and a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering. I am currently projected to graduate with a First Class degree and achieved maximum grades in my Highers, reflecting a strong academic foundation across STEM subjects.
Alongside my academic background, I bring a clear, supportive approach to teaching that is informed by my current studies. Having recently progressed through the same academic pathways myself, I understand the challenges students face and how expectations evolve as subjects become more complex. This allows me to explain concepts in a way that is clear, relevant, and appropriate to each stage of learning.
I am patient, adaptable, and highly organised, tailoring my approach to suit each individual’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. Whether supporting students who need extra confidence or those aiming to push for top grades, I focus on building strong understanding, problem-solving skills, and independent thinking.

My lessons are structured, supportive, and shaped by my current experience studying Biomedical Engineering at Master’s level. Having previously completed a BEng in Biomedical Engineering and a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering, I am actively using the same core principles and problem-solving approaches that students encounter earlier in their studies.
This allows me to teach from recent, practical experience and to anticipate common challenges students face as they progress through engineering and science subjects. I focus on breaking complex ideas down step-by-step, strengthening fundamentals, and helping students see how different topics connect, rather than treating them in isolation.
I adapt each lesson to the individual, taking into account their strengths, weaknesses, learning style, and goals. Whether a student needs extra support with core concepts, help building confidence, or more challenging problems to stretch their understanding, lessons are adjusted accordingly.
I encourage questions throughout and create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where mistakes are part of the learning process. My aim is not only to help students improve academically, but to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed as they move forward along a similar academic path.
