With over two years of tutoring experience, my teaching approach is grounded on personalized education. I believe in a student-centered approach, where I tailor my teaching methods to each student's individual needs and learning styles. Whether it's through visual aids, interactive discussions, problem-solving exercises, or hands-on experiments, I strive to create a dynamic learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of connecting theoretical concepts to real-world applications, as this not only enhances comprehension but also fosters a deeper appreciation for the subject matter.
Typically, each lesson begins with a brief review of previous concepts to reinforce understanding and build upon prior knowledge. I then introduce new material, breaking it down into digestible chunks and providing relevant examples to illustrate key concepts. Throughout the session, I encourage questions and discussion to ensure clarity and address any misconceptions. Towards the end, I assign practice problems or tasks to reinforce learning and assess comprehension. Finally, I conclude with a summary and preview of the next session's objectives.
I believe what sets me apart as a tutor is my dual perspective as both a recent graduate and a current PhD student. This allows me to offer insights from both academic and practical standpoints, bridging the gap between theory and application. Additionally, my passion for the subject and commitment to student success drive me to go above and beyond in supporting my students' learning journeys. Whether it's providing additional resources, offering mentorship, or simply being available for guidance, I prioritize the holistic development of my students beyond just academic achievement.
My tutoring services cater to a diverse range of students, including middle school, high school, undergraduates, and graduates, particularly those studying or planning to study in the field of biomedical engineering or related STEM disciplines. Whether you're struggling with fundamental concepts or seeking advanced insights, I'm here to provide personalized support tailored to your specific needs and goals.
