About Layla
My fascination with biology began with a curiosity about life at microscopic and macroscopic levels, exploring how organisms interact and ecosystems function. I pursued a B.Sc in Biology and an M.Sc in Molecular Biology, which provided me with comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge in the life sciences. Over 9 years, I have guided students through diverse topics, from foundational concepts to advanced molecular biology, ensuring they develop strong analytical skills, conceptual clarity, and scientific curiosity.
I adopt a student-centred, interactive teaching approach. My lessons integrate visual aids, practical examples, hands-on exercises, and discussion-based learning. I encourage independent thinking, inquiry, and curiosity while providing structured guidance tailored to each learner’s level. My goal is to create an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to explore biological concepts in depth.
Beyond teaching, I stay connected to current research, laboratory techniques, and ecological studies, integrating these insights into lessons to provide practical relevance and real-world applications. Observing students grow from uncertainty to confident, analytical thinkers and curious explorers of life sciences is immensely rewarding, and it fuels my ongoing dedication to nurturing capable, inspired, and scientifically literate learners.

My biology lessons are designed to make complex concepts understandable, engaging, and practically applicable. I cover cellular structures, molecular processes, genetics, evolution, ecology, and experimental techniques. Lessons combine clear explanations, visual illustrations, practical examples, and interactive exercises. I emphasise conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and critical reasoning, ensuring students develop both confidence and curiosity in biological sciences.
For beginners, I focus on fundamental topics, including cell structure, basic genetics, ecological principles, and simple lab practices. Intermediate learners explore molecular biology, biochemical pathways, complex genetics, ecological interactions, and laboratory experiments. Advanced learners study gene expression, evolutionary mechanisms, ecosystem modelling, and advanced experimental design. Each session integrates guided problem-solving, practical applications, and conceptual reinforcement to enhance comprehension and skill development.
Biology education strengthens observation, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities. Students learn to interpret data, understand living systems, and relate theoretical knowledge to real-world phenomena. My goal is to foster deep scientific understanding, stimulate curiosity about life processes, and help learners build confidence in exploring and applying biological concepts in academic and practical contexts.
