About Nicholas
I'm a Biology & Sociology dual-degreeholder with 1 year's tutoring experience of 50+ UNCG students in small groups. Afterwards I became a Health Sector Volunteer in Peace Corps: The Gambia (PCTG), and eventually became the National Coordinator for the PCTG's Malaria Task Force, organizing trainings & interventions. In addition, I kept an educational vlog of my experiences in which Biology was a major subject.

I use a mixed Socratic method so that I can gauge my students' understanding as I go. I find that in this subjects students often find themselves confused, but are unable to figure out what questions they need to ask. Helping students to understand what they don't know so that they may be able to learn for themselves is how I prefer to operate. For these reasons, I also prefer to tutor in smaller groups.
Beyond that, I often draw visuals, myself having a background in visual arts, and believing that much of biology is better conceptualized when visualized.
