About Annaya
I have always enjoyed helping others learn and develop confidence in their abilities. As an older sister and an experienced tutor, I find it incredibly rewarding to see students progress and achieve goals they may not have thought were possible. I am particularly fascinated by Biology and enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with my students, helping them see the subject as more than just facts to memorise. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building genuine understanding.

I adapt my teaching to each student’s learning style and academic goals. Drawing on four years of tutoring experience, I break down complex biological concepts into clear, manageable steps and help students develop effective revision and exam techniques. My lessons are supportive, interactive, and designed to build confidence as well as subject knowledge.

Academically, I achieved A*AA at Cheltenham Ladies’ College, including an A in A-Level Biology, and recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh with First-Class Honours in MA Psychology and Business. My degree included extensive study of neuroscience, research methods, statistics, and biological approaches to behaviour, providing a strong foundation in both the scientific content and analytical skills required for success in Biology. Alongside my academic achievements, I have developed effective study and revision techniques that I now share with my students.
