About Joan
I teach and I learn every day, like everyone else. But formally I've been teaching since I started college 4 years ago and even a little earlier. I worked with the KUMON method of teaching math and mother tongue, now English. I am part of the group of Inductores of the Faculty of Sciences at the Universidad Javeriana, I am also an active member of the Semillero de Investigación en Ornitología (Birds). I consider myself a creative person with a sense of service like many Xaverians.

My classes are aimed at students in primary, secondary and first semesters of the university, who need to reinforce or understand concepts, theories, function, etc. of Biology or related areas, the topics that are required will be agreed upon with each student. The techniques I use are an open, colloquial and calm dialogue, as required, to make it less difficult and more fun to learn a science that belongs to all of us, but that is not the favorite of many. Biology is like taking out the Christmas lights, complex, tangled, but not impossible and when you understand, beautiful, like the lights that shine at the end of the window every December.
