About Neda
I have recently completed a PhD in Biology, specialising in molecular biology, microbiology and biochemistry. Having spent almost eight years in higher education, I understand how overwhelming studying for exams can be, and I’m passionate about helping students navigate this period with greater confidence.
I have experience tutoring A-Level Biology and particularly enjoy helping students develop both their subject knowledge and confidence. I genuinely enjoy teaching and learning about Biology, and I’m always excited to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject with others.

My teaching style is student-centred, with lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning preferences and goals. I believe it is important to work at a pace that the student feels comfortable with, while setting manageable goals and working together to achieve them.
I aim to create a supportive and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and discussing ideas. I break down complex biological concepts into smaller, more manageable ideas, helping students to understand the underlying principles and creating a strong foundation of biology knowledge. I am familiar with using teaching approaches and techniques that can support students with dyslexia and ADHD, and I aim to make 1:1 lessons as accessible and engaging.
I have experience teaching A-Level Biology following the OCR specification and am happy to work with students aged 11–18, including GCSE and A-Level students. Lessons can be adapted to focus on building subject knowledge, tackling specific challenging topics, or preparing for upcoming assessments.
