About Nicole
I am a Biomedical Science student in their Masters year of the course. I have prior experience of mentoring others in Biology and a group of GCSE Maths students that all achieved passing grades or higher. Biology is a broad subject that I have years of educational and practical experience in. Included in the Biology subject I am happy to teach about Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Genetics.
I have excellent education results in GCSE (A) and A-level Biology (A), demonstrating my knowledge of the syllabus. During university I have achieved high grades repeatedly, demonstrating knowledge of Biology to a high standard. My current specialism is Microbiology therefore I am happy to teach specifically about that too.

As I am currently undertaking my Masters, I am able to provide tutoring up to A-level standard in Biology. As a tutor I would introduce the topic and aims of the lesson and then ask the students what their level of understand is already. I personally find Biology has many processes that are difficult to understand when reading, so I would use diagrams and videos to visually demonstrate the concept that is being taught. At the end I will use a series of questions for the student to answer to see how their level of understanding has changed since the beginning of the lesson.
Though I am a visual learner, it does not mean it is appropriate for every student, therefore I am happy to tailor my lesson plan to suit the student's needs.
