My Teaching Approach & Methodology
I believe that biology isn't about memorizing difficult words; it is about understanding how life works. Because I teach younger students (primary and secondary levels), I focus on breaking down complex topics—like how DNA works or what bacteria look like—into simple, everyday stories.
I use visual aids, colorful diagrams, and interactive 3D models online so students can actually "see" the science. I also connect every topic to real life (for example, explaining microbiology by talking about how yeast makes bread rise, or explaining genetics by looking at why we have our parents' eye colors). This keeps students curious and engaged rather than bored.
Typical Class Structure (60 Minutes)
To make sure every student actually learns and retains the information, I structure my 1-hour classes like this:
First 10 minutes (Recap & Warm-up): We start with a quick, fun quiz or a chat about what we learned in the last class to refresh their memory.
Next 35 minutes (Core Learning): I introduce the new topic using visual slides, drawing on an interactive whiteboard, and breaking the concept into small, easy-to-digest parts. I pause frequently to ask questions and check for understanding.
Next 10 minutes (Active Practice): The student solves a quick puzzle, labels a diagram, or explains the concept back to me in their own words.
Last 5 minutes (Wrap-up & Feedback): We summarize the key takeaways of the day, and I share constructive feedback on their progress.
My Unique Features as a Teacher
Highly Patient & Encouraging: I understand that science can feel overwhelming. I create a safe space where there are no "silly" questions, and I am happy to explain a concept five different ways until it clicks.
Visual & Conceptual Focus: I do not support rote learning. My goal is to help students secure excellent marks in school by building a rock-solid conceptual foundation.
Regular Progress Tracking: I share quick feedback with parents after classes so they know exactly how their child is progressing.
Who My Classes Are For
My classes are specifically designed for:
Primary School Students (Classes 1–5): Focusing on basic environmental science, plants, animals, and building an early love for nature and science.
Secondary School Students (Classes 6–10): Focusing on school curriculum biology, basic genetics, cell biology, and introductory microbiology to help them ace their school exams and build strong foundations for higher classes.
