About Reece
Hello! I'm Reece, an experienced and dedicated tutor, passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals.
With 3 years of tutoring experience, I specialise in guiding students through Maths, Biology and Chemistry. My approach is to make complex concepts simple and understandable, while adapting my teaching style to fit the unique learning needs of each student.
I take pride in creating a positive and supportive learning environment, where you’ll feel confident to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop a deep understanding of the subject. A typical lesson will follow this structure:
- First 15 minutes spent discussing areas that the student is doing well in and areas that need more work. We will also review work set from the last lesson (more on this later).
- Bulk of the lesson spent tackling problems that will provide opportunities for the student to learn and challenge themselves.
- I will then set some problems for the student to solve independently, and will be sent to me, along with any questions, prior to the next lesson. We will go through any issues at the start of the next lesson.
- Once the lesson has ended I will provide a set of notes summarising key points from the lesson.
I have found this format to be highly effective at all levels, from KS3 students, to first-year students at Cambridge.
