About Rosie
At school in my AS year I have experience tutoring the GCSE students in Biology once a week, approaching exam time. I really enjoyed using my knowledge to help benefit those who were struggling.
At university in the modules, Anatomy of the Thorax and Anatomy of the Abdomen, I have had the chance to examine real human cadavers twice a week. This unique experience has given me an in depth understanding of the parts of the human body and how they interact with each other. Additionally, I have completed and continue to engage in Dissection modules where I have dissected these human cadavers, removing organs and identifying structures. I believe I can pass on this deep level of understanding of the human body to my students.
I have quite a lot of experience of working in labs, through modules such as Experimental Skills in Current Biology and Practical Human Physiology that I have also completed in my Anatomy and Human Biology degree at University of Liverpool. I found the methodical process of completing experiments, obtaining data and then analysing it and representing it through graphs very rewarding. I have quite a statistical mind and believe practice at these types of equations and graphs is key to developed understanding.

I have completed a Masters in Biological Sciences (MBiolSci) at the University of Liverpool with a distinction. Before this, I completed a degree in Anatomy and Human Biology (First Class) and have also achieved 7A*s and 3As at GCSE and A*AA at A Level. I believe that using analogies, rhymes and repetition is very important in learning. I am a friendly tutor who will be patient with my students who are struggling or just need some extra guidance.
