About Francesco
Hi there,
My name is Francesco. I am Biomedical Engineering Master's Graduate currently enroled in a Bioengineering PhD program in Dublin. I am originally from Italy but have been living in Ireland for a long time where I complete my Leaving Cert, my Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering.
During my years in college, I have delivered private lesson at both Leaving Cert and University level, and therefore have extensive teaching experience.

I usually carry out individual 1- or 2-hour-long lessons (with an extra 15 min break for the 2-hour-long lessons). I cover either theory or run over examples and exercises with the students or both, depending on their previously discussed needs and objectives.
For the theroy teaching, I usually go quickly over a previously agreed topic orally with the help of pen and paper to write the main concepts. After any possible questions I ask the student to explain the topic to me as if they were the ones delivering a lesson on it. This helps me check their understanding of the topic and is really helpful for the student as it represents an opportunity to run over any uncertainties and also as a practical experience which helps them remember the covered topics with ease.
During the examples and exercises sessions, I like to bring real-life examples to briefly discuss. I also run through many different past papers especially when coming closer to exam season as I think this is extremely hepful to make sure the student is also able to perform well in exam conditions. I usually ask the student to carry out some exercises at home, so that we can review any of those. Once these have been covered with the left-over time, I dedicate time discussing and solving uncovered past papers together.
Despite this being my usual way of delivering classes, I am also extremel open to suggestions and very flexible depending on the student needs.
