About Nicholas
Hi! I'm Nicholas, a UC San Diego bioengineering graduate with an interest in the subtleties of the natural world and how they can be manipulated to benefit society. My fields of study and expertise are biomechanics, biophysics, polymer chemistry, biochemistry, mathematics and calculus, and laboratory procedures. I like exploring the boundaries between these topics and explaining them in simple terms to others. As a tutor, I take pride in leading students through problems step by step so that they are able to arrive at the solution with a clearer understanding of the concepts involved. I love watching students gain confidence and problem-solving skills that they can apply beyond the classroom. I'm skilled at adjusting my teaching style to suit different learning goals and approaches, ensuring that each session is effective as well as enjoyable. My Teaching Style
- I have a Bachelor of Science degree in bioengineering from UC San Diego and provide a structured but flexible method of tutoring. I work to make abstract STEM concepts intuitive and help students build a solid foundation in mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology. My teaching style adapts to meet each student's specific needs, as I make sure that they gain lasting confidence and problem-solving skills.
