I am bilingual French-English and have tutored a family friend's daughter for two years. As a result, she was awarded a GCSE grade of 5, after having been predicted a U. I completed my own French GCSE in Year 7 and got an A.

I like to look at past papers (if relevant to the student) and work through them until they feel confident to attempt them by themselves. I also use French books at a slightly lower reading level than the student is at and work up to their reading level to encourage a better understanding of written French. I also go through vocabulary and can help with activities and worksheets given in class.
