About Maya
About Me My name is Maya Poulin, and I’m an 18-year-old first-year Health Sciences undergraduate student at Trent University. I grew up in Ontario, but French is my first language—it's a big part of who I am and connects me to my family's roots in Quebec. I absolutely love the French language and enjoy sharing it with others. I'm passionate about science and healthcare, and I'm working toward my dream of becoming a doctor one day. As someone who understands how it feels to be both a learner and a helper, I aim to create a supportive and relaxed space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I’m friendly, approachable, and always happy to help—especially over the summer when I have more time to give back and support others in their learning journey!

As a Health Sciences undergraduate who grew up in Ontario and speaks French as my first language, I bring a unique bilingual perspective that helps bridge both English and French learning. With parents from Quebec and a strong cultural connection to both provinces, I understand the challenges and strengths of learning in two languages. I'm patient, approachable, and passionate about helping others succeed—whether it’s practicing conversational French, reviewing science material, or building study skills. I'm available during the summer and excited to support students in a relaxed, encouraging environment!
