About Nina
My name is Nina, I am 29 years old, I am currently studying Dramatic Art at the Royal Conservatory of Mons. Polyglot / self-taught teacher, here is a little history of my linguistic journey: Languages have been a passion since childhood. I am bilingual English-French. I also speak Russian, Dutch and I am currently training for Spanish, Danish and Norwegian. I received the English prize for my promotion in Rheto. After which, I did 1 year of immersion in the USA Then 2 years of Bachelor in Translation-Interpreting at the FTI-EII of Umons (linguistic combination: English-Russian). Currently, I am a freelance literary translator. I have been practicing English every day for more than 10 years and, I have been giving private lessons for 5 years to an audience whose age range varies between 10 and 60 years. I adapt to the needs of my students with joy! I currently have a Level C1 on the scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Concretely, here are the skills that this implies: - Understanding long and demanding texts and grasping implicit meanings. - Express myself spontaneously and fluently without having to search for my words. -Use the language effectively and flexibly in social, professional or academic life. - Express myself on complex subjects in a clear and well structured manner and demonstrate my control of the linguistic tools of organization, articulation and cohesion of speech.

I approach my methodology through the prism of pleasure which, I am convinced, is the best way to activate the different types of memories in an optimal way. Learning through play is one of my methods. On the other hand, I ALWAYS base my lessons on what interests my students. It's obvious. Attention, pleasure and play do not mean "lack of rigor", on the contrary. For me, rigor and perfectionism cannot emerge without joy in learning. This is why, apart from language games, I approach learning English by other mediums: music, cinema, etc ... Finally, I position myself as a teacher as follows: l The human being knows different windows of learning during his life (that is to say, moments when his brain is 100% ready to integrate, understand a new material). These "learning windows" simply coincide with the need of the person at a time T. Also, if you need to learn to speak English to work in the agricultural sector, we will start directly to learn the concrete vocabulary that s reports. If you want to upgrade more generally I will use another method. If it is to prepare you for an exam I will also do it. If you want an initiation for beginners (A0) I am also competent. I adapt to each scenario according to the desires and needs of my students. My mantras are: pleasure, rigor and efficiency!
