About Sebastien
Bonjour! I'm Sebastien, a bilingual Canadian with a lifelong passion for the French language and helping others learn it with confidence. I’ve studied French academically and have used it in real-world settings while traveling and working, which allows me to bring both structure and cultural depth to my lessons. I create a patient, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I believe learning should be both effective and enjoyable. Professionalism, clear communication, and thoughtful preparation are at the core of every lesson I give. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I’ll help you progress at your own pace and feel proud of how far you’ve come.

As a bilingual Canadian with a background in both academic French and real-world travel experience, I aim to make French accessible, enjoyable, and confidence-building no matter your current level.
My teaching approach is adaptable: I tailor lessons to your goals, whether you're a complete beginner, brushing up for school, preparing for travel, or aiming for fluency. I focus on practical communication, correct pronunciation, grammar foundations, and cultural context. Lessons often include conversation practice, vocabulary building, listening comprehension, and grammar exercises—always with a personalized touch.
A typical session might start with a brief review or conversation warm-up, followed by structured learning around a key theme or grammar point, then practical exercises and open dialogue.
What sets me apart is my ability to make French feel approachable. I’m patient, encouraging, and good at explaining complex ideas in simple terms. My background in statistics and teaching also means I can help students who are more analytical or who like a structured learning path.
My lessons are ideal for high school or university students, adult learners, and anyone preparing for a trip, a test, or a bilingual job role. Whether you want to improve your grades or your confidence, I’d be glad to help.
