About J Lyle

I am thoroughly professional in all that I do, whether it's speaking, preaching, teaching, or writing for academic journals. I have written 2 books, Greek to Me, which I co-authored with my father, and later developed an online learning platform, Greektomeonline.com, and Joyous Encounters: Discovering the Happy Affections in Luke-Acts, as well as hundreds of articles of a professional or academic nature. I am physically fit and run with my Golden Retriever, Lexi, every day for about an hour. I also like working out with weights at the Y.

About the lesson

I am passionate about teaching, having devoted 45 years to graduate instruction, pastored for 14 years, taught in Sunday School for K-6 as a reading specialist. I taught my own three sons, phonics, swimming, fishing, and I coached all of them from the time they were in T-Ball till they were 18. I even set up a batting cage in our back yard, and over the years and threw hundreds of thousands of pitches, which later led to the need for a shoulder replacement. I have a calling to teach.

I have known Dr. Story for 32 years. He is a stellar teacher, and in fact has a gift of teaching! He is warm, approachable, interactive, and cares deeply for his students and the learning process.

Having been one of his students and a former colleague at the graduate level, I personally attest to his teaching acumen and heartily support his working with Superprof in the role for which he has applied.

I want to be fair and ethical about all that I charge, and would never do anything that would be self-serving, for I wish to treat all with dignity, respect and compassion.
