About Mikey
I am a Bible teacher with a dual Master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and over a decade of experience in pastoral ministry. I have been teaching Scripture since I was 15 years old, and I have served in pastoral roles since 2013, consistently helping others understand and apply the Bible in meaningful ways. I also have done missionary work in Spanish for 15 years in the Dominican Republic and Spain.
My training has equipped me with a strong foundation in biblical interpretation, theology, and the original languages, while my ministry experience has shaped how I communicate these truths clearly and practically. I am able to take complex concepts and make them understandable without losing depth.
I approach teaching with both structure and flexibility, adapting to each student’s level and goals. Whether you are new to the Bible or looking to go deeper, I create a focused and encouraging environment where you can grow in confidence and understanding.
Students can expect professionalism, consistency, and thoughtful preparation. My goal is to help you not only learn Scripture, but develop the ability to study and interpret it for yourself with clarity and conviction.

My approach to teaching the Bible and theology is centered on clarity, depth, and application. I don’t aim to simply give information—I help you understand how to think through Scripture so you can study it confidently on your own.
Teaching method and techniques:
I teach by breaking passages down step by step. We look at context, key words, structure, and how a passage connects to the rest of the Bible. When helpful, I bring in insights from Hebrew and Greek to clarify meaning. I also use contrast, comparisons, and real-life examples to make ideas stick. My sessions are interactive, so you’re not just listening—you’re engaging with the text.
A typical lesson plan:
We usually start with a specific passage or topic. From there:
1. Read and observe the text carefully
2. Identify key words, themes, and structure
3. Understand the context (historical and biblical)
4. Draw out meaning and connect it to other scriptures
5. Apply it practically to life, leadership, or teaching
If you’re preparing a sermon or lesson, we can also shape and refine your message together.

I focus on helping you understand, not just repeat information. I simplify complex ideas without losing depth, and I teach you how to arrive at insights yourself. My style is conversational and engaging—more like working through Scripture together than sitting in a lecture. I also emphasize practical application, so what you learn actually shapes how you think and live.
