About Lamar
Years of strumming patterns and acoustic technique have shown me how much music connects people. I recall sitting in my dorm at NYU, realizing that technical skill is merely a gateway to self-expression.
I use my BFA Music Technology degree to help you master barre chords, fingerpicking, and complex chord transitions. Working with adult students, I see the same frustrations with rhythm guitar and ear training.
My approach combines theory with practical improvisation to solve these hurdles. Whether you are prepping for a grade exam or polishing your solos, we move at your pace. Have you considered what kind of guitarist you want to become?

Stiff fingers kill momentum. Practice feels heavy. I fix this by creating custom backing tracks for you to use at home. These tracks help you improvise with confidence.
I have taught 394 students over 3 years. You get to play along to music you actually like.
My experience ensures you learn the right habits early. We tackle theory and soloing in every session. Your progress is the goal. I make playing fun.
