About Marinela
Hi, I’m Marinela, an experienced maths tutor who has spent the past three years volunteering in local schools, supporting students through one-to-one and small group tuition. I help students build strong mathematical foundations, overcome challenges and develop the confidence to succeed.
I believe every student can succeed in maths with clear explanations, patience and the right support. My lessons provide a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing independent problem-solving skills.
Alongside teaching, I have worked as a Data Analytics Specialist in major banks for the past eight years, using mathematics and analytical thinking every day. I enjoy showing students how the maths they learn at school applies in real-world careers.
I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Economics and Finance. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, staying active and spending time with friends and family.

My lessons are designed to help students understand maths step by step, boost their confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
Whether preparing for SATs, GCSEs, or simply needing extra support, I tailor every lesson to their individual needs.
Every student begins with an initial assessment to identify their current level, strengths, and areas for improvement. From there, I create a personalised learning plan tailored to each student’s pace, learning style and academic goals, while also developing the exam techniques needed for success.
Lessons are engaging, supportive and well-structured, with regular progress reviews to ensure students continue improving. After each lesson, they receive tailored feedback and practice questions to reinforce what they’ve learned.
By combining my experience in education with a professional background in data analytics, I help students develop a deeper understanding of mathematics, moving beyond memorising methods to thinking logically and solving problems independently.
I offer a free 30-minute introductory session to discuss your child’s goals, answer any questions and create a plan that best supports their learning.
I look forward to helping them build confidence and achieve their full potential in maths.
