Subject: Mathematics Topic: Number base Contents: Number Base 2 to base 10 Objective: By the end of the lesson the students will be able to convert base 2 to base 10 Example 1 Convert 20 base 2 to base 10 Solution 20 base 2 Write 1 on top of 2 and 0 on top of 0 (i.e starting from your left on top with 0) =2*2^1 +0*2^0 =2*2+0*1 =4+0 =4 (notes 100^0 is 1 i.e anything power of 0 is always 1
