About Leonardo
Hi, my name is Leonardo, I am a guitarist, producer and audio engineer based in New York City. I have extensive experience in some of the world's best studios and prestigious live venues in the US and Italy. I graduated with a MA in Songwriting and Production at Berklee NYC. I also hold a BA and a MA in Jazz Guitar from Rome's Conservatory and I am a Fulbright Alum.
I started teaching guitar and music production six years ago, both privately and in music schools, and both in Italian and English.
I also love cooking, mycology and fragrances.
I taught tens of students of all ages (6-82) over the past 6 years, worked with music schools in Rome, and taught both hobbyists and seasoned professionals all over Europe and the US.
Seeing what my former students are currently accomplishing on their own professionally is what motivates me the most as a mentor.
Many of them paired their music knowledge with audio engineering skills and are now capable of recording, producing and designing their own sounds with virtual synths.
One of my students was successfully admitted to a Master's degree program in Jazz after I spent a year preparing him for the tests, and is now performing in large venues with respectable musicians.
I organized a music production course for a cultural inclusion center, providing affordable community service with a structured program that included on-demand teaching material and feedback sessions.

As a musician and audio engineer with extensive experience in some of the world's best studios and prestigious live venues in the US and Italy, I will teach you the best practices to deliver a radio-ready song and be mindful of everything you're doing.
My teaching approach focuses on deep listening and ear training, so that you can own your craft fully and pursue your professional objectives.
I have 7+ years of experience in teaching adult music professionals and beginners who are looking to expand their knowledge of audio recording and processing, signal flow, virtual synthesizers and production.
You won't need any investments except for a DAW, an audio interface if you plan to record with microphones, a laptop and headphones.
All lessons will be on video meetings, and I will guarantee lossless audio quality through a streaming link I will provide (in the case of production / audio lessons).
