About Vivien
The air in a small club smells like stale beer and hot tubes when you have been singing for 7 years straight. Teaching is just passing on what I learned after 12 years of pushing my voice through long, loud sets.
My degree from Berklee provides the foundation for discussing vocal health, range extension, head and chest voice, harmony, resonance, and phrasing. I prefer a light touch to instruction that feels like a heavy conversation about art. My approach moves beyond the rigid structure often seen in traditional schools.

Singing along to a record in a kitchen is the best way to grasp the nuances of rhythm and phrasing before we formalize the technique. I draw on 497 students taught to explain how tone works in a live space. 6.0 out of 10 minutes are spent on exercises like vocal health and daily maintenance. Each student receives recorded warm-up exercise for consistent daily practice at home.
Experience matters when you are trying to project across a noisy room. Reach out to get started.
