About James
As a guitarist, I've played for multiple bands like Shoulda Stayed a Plumber, Maplehead, Yamster, and produced my own guitar-prominent film scoring music under my own name. Along with music production and engineering, I also studied jazz guitar at the Berklee College of Music. However, my favorite music to play is funk, fingerstyle acoustic, and classic rock.

Want to learn how to play songs by ear?
I'm here to help you learn about the kind of music you WANT to play. Thanks to my training at the Berklee College of Music and gig experience, I've learned about both the theoretical and real world applications of guitar.
Every style incorporates music and guitar theories in some way, so a typical lesson would include breaking down some of your favorite songs, learning the guitar parts (or how to translate other instruments like piano to guitar) and developing practice routines to strengthen the techniques used in those songs.
These lessons are for beginner to intermediate guitarists looking to expand their knowledge of the guitar and music theory, those who want to learn to play songs by ear, or learn about music school or gigging!
