About Chris
Hey there! My name is Christopher Kenji and I'm an LA-based artist, Berklee College of Music graduate and music teacher with over 15 years of experience. I have a very deep passion for music and for helping my students reach their own musical dreams. For me, it's really all about you and your own goals ––I want to help get you there (and beyond!)

As a teacher, it's always been my philosophy to cater to each of my individual students uniquely rather than taking the one-size-fits-all curriculum approach. Maybe you want to be the next guitar phenom or be your own artist/write & sing your own songs or maybe this is just a fun, new hobby that you want to give a shot for the first time ––all are totally welcomed! Even if you're a complete beginner ––I promise, by the end of our first lesson, you'll be playing something that sounds good! Over the years, I've taught students with all different kinds of music tastes, proficiency levels and ages (from as young as 5 years old to over 70 and everything in-between as well as students with disabilities). Let's get started today and plan your music journey together!

Chris is an amazing instructor. I recommend him without reservation. I'd had numerous guitar instructors over the years, and Chris is hands-down the very best. I first got to know Chris as he gave my daughter guitar lessons. He worked on music that she actually enjoyed, and kept her engaged. She loved her lessons. I saw how amazing that experience was for my daughter and then I started taking lessons as well. Chris was so helpful and supportive. He gives lessons because he just LOVES the guitar, and is a wonderfully talented. I would highly recommend Chris for both youngsters and adults. He was always on-time and prepared to teach.
