About Michelle
Hi! I'm a Computer Science graduate from UC Berkeley (4.0 GPA, Honours Society) and a software engineer with 5 years of industry experience.
While studying at UC Berkeley, I worked as a teaching assistant and tutor, supporting university students through core Computer Science courses. That experience taught me how to explain complex ideas clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and guide students through challenging problem sets and exams in a structured way.
After moving here, I continued tutoring by helping my younger sister through GCSE, A-Level, and even university level Computer Science. I've seen the full journey, from building foundational concepts to mastering advanced material, and I know what it takes to achieve top results (including helping her secure an A*).
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing that moment when something finally clicks. Computer Science can feel intimidating, but with the right guidance, it becomes logical and even enjoyable. My goal is not just to help you pass exams, but to help you truly understand the material, build confidence, and develop strong problem-solving skills that will serve you far beyond the classroom.

I take a very personal, results-driven approach to tutoring.
I know what works because I've seen it work. I tutored my sister in Computer Science all the way through to achieving an A*, so I understand not just the theory, but how to translate complex concepts into clear, exam-ready understanding. I've seen first-hand where students get stuck, and how to break topics down so they finally click.
I've also been professionally trained as a teaching assistant, so I don't just explain content. I structure learning properly. I focus on:
Building strong fundamentals (so students aren't just memorising).
Practising exam technique strategically.
Identifying weak spots early and fixing them efficiently.
Encouraging questions without judgment.
Alongside teaching, I work as a software engineer. That means I bring real-world perspective into my lessons, showing how what you're learning actually applies outside the classroom. Students don't just learn how to pass exams. They understand how Computer Science works in practice.
My goal isn't just to get you through a syllabus. It's to build genuine confidence, clarity, and problem-solving ability, so you walk into exams (and future studies) feeling prepared and capable.
