About Ben
As a language learner myself, I understand the difficulty that comes with getting a solid grasp on a new language. Be it unfamiliar grammar, words or just feeling lost on where to start. With that in mind, I wanted to start teaching English to help people who felt like how I used to when studying Japanese and help push them to the next level of their journey. Along with my TEFL certification, I also have a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Exeter, as well as an N3 in Japanese.

Each lesson is custom built around each learner's needs, be it practising tricky wording during interviews, or starting from scratch to pick up the basic grammar. My lessons range in length from 30 minutes to a full hour to be flexible to your schedule. As a generalist in teaching English as a Foreign Language, my students come in all stages of their English learning journey, which as a learner of Japanese, I can relate to the struggles of learning another language with the complexity and nuances of English. During the introductory session, we can work out together exactly what your plans are for learning English, and where you would like to be so each lesson can be an exact fit for your needs.
