  • 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I speak Spanish fluently because it is my mother tongue, as I was born and raised in Argentina. I learned English thanks to inspiring teachers and my own curiosity about languages and cultures. Over time, English became much more than a subject: it became a tool to connect with the world. This personal journey is what later motivated me to become a language teacher myself.
  • 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

For Spanish, I would choose Gabriel García Márquez, as his writing shows the richness, emotion, and cultural depth of the Spanish language. For English, I admire Jane Austen, whose work reflects how language can be both precise and deeply expressive, even within everyday situations.
  • 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

In Spanish, I love the expression “sobremesa”—the moment after a meal when people stay talking and sharing. It shows how language and relationships are deeply connected in our culture. In English, I enjoy how politeness and indirect language are often used, such as “Would you mind…?”, which reflects cultural nuances that go beyond grammar.
  • 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

Languages open doors—to people, cultures, opportunities, and self-confidence. Both Spanish and English allow my students to express who they are, travel with confidence, improve their careers, and feel part of a global community. Teaching languages is my way of helping others find their voice.
  • 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

The biggest difficulty is often fear of making mistakes. What truly helps is a safe, motivating environment, constant exposure to real language, and a communicative, task-based approach where students use the language from day one. Progress comes faster when learning feels meaningful and practical.
  • 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

I clearly remember the moment I realized I could think in English for the first time. It wasn’t during an exam, but in a real conversation. That experience taught me that language learning is not about perfection, but about communication—a principle I now apply in all my classes.
  • 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Travel reinforced everything I had learned in the classroom. Being exposed to different accents, real-life situations, and cultural contexts helped me understand that language is alive. This is why I include real-world scenarios and authentic materials in my lessons.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in language?

I combine strong academic training (TESOL, TEFL, ELE) with over six years of teaching experience, a communicative and task-based methodology, and a deep understanding of my students’ emotional and learning processes. I adapt each lesson to my students’ goals, pace, and interests, making learning effective, enjoyable, and empowering.
