About Gary
Twenty-three years ago I started this path because music felt like a conversation. Piano is my primary language.
I hold a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the McGill Schulich School of Music, which helps me explain complex ideas simply. My practice covers jazz improvisation, memorization techniques, and sight transposition alongside sight reading. I focus heavily on hand independence and chord voicing to ensure you feel secure at the keys. Have you ever wondered what your hands are capable of doing when they feel truly free?

I bring 13 years of experience to these sessions to ensure we move at your pace. You will find that I provide weekly practice modules assigned with every class to anchor your progress. We emphasize technical accuracy while ensuring the art remains central to our work.
I find that building a strong routine outside the room creates the best results. My degree from McGill informs every correction I make during our hour. I am here to ensure you feel supported as you navigate these new challenges. Teaching is my life work, and I am glad you are here.
