About Laura
I'm a third-year university student who thoroughly enjoys music, chess, movies, and books. I've played guitar since I was six years old, starting at a conservatory in New Caledonia and then moving to Hobart at the age of 9. In Tasmania and New Caledonia, the first guitar teachers I had gave me very good, solid fundamental skills that I will use throughout the rest of my life playing guitar, and most importantly gave me my passion for this instrument. The fantastic teachers I have had have taught me everything I know on how to be an amazing teacher - I know how to make a lesson fun but also productive.

Hi, I'm Laura and I teach classical guitar! I've been playing for more than 10 years in conservatories all around the world. I have obtained my Grade 8 AMEB in Australia and was also the winner of the Hobart Guitar Society Award in 2019. I've had the opportunity to attend and perform in masterclasses with renowned guitarists, such as Ben Verdery, refining my technique with each experience. I'm now living in Sydney, in the Bondi area, and offering lessons for beginner to intermediate levels. I specialise in spanish/brazilian styles (bossa nova, tango, bolero, choro, etc) but can just as well play a Bach prelude ! I have 2 years of teaching experience under my belt, teaching ages 5 to 15. Typical length of a lesson is one hour, but ultimately the length of the class is entirely up to you.

Laura is a great teacher. Her native language is French and she has perfected it like no other, I highly recommend her.
Laura has tutored my 13 years old son in 2023 when she was still living in Avignon; we had juste moved there from Australia and he did nit speak a single word of French. Laura was able to help him make the transition a lot more smoothly in the first few months, and helped him with his french homework every week. She is always very patient and cheerful, a very hardworking girl.
