I’m Amit, a chess enthusiast and mentor who enjoys helping students develop strong thinking and problem-solving skills through chess. I focus on teaching chess in a structured and easy-to-understand way, ensuring students first build a solid foundation before moving on to advanced ideas. My approach emphasizes understanding the logic behind moves, planning ahead, and learning from mistakes rather than memorizing openings. These chess classes are designed to help students build a strong foundation in chess, focusing on both gameplay skills and logical thinking.
We begin with the basics understanding the board, piece movement, and rules, before gradually moving into opening principles, tactical ideas, and endgame fundamentals. The emphasis is on thinking ahead, planning moves, and understanding patterns, not just memorising openings.
Classes focus on:
-Core chess fundamentals and rules
-Opening principles and development
-Tactics such as forks, pins, and checks
-Middle-game planning and decision-making
-Basic endgame concepts and checkmating patterns
Sessions are interactive and practice-oriented, with regular puzzles, example games, and guided play. Lessons are adapted based on the student’s age, level, and learning speed.
These classes are suitable for beginners and intermediate players, including school students and adults. By the end of the course, students develop stronger concentration, patience, and problem-solving skills along with confidence on the chessboard.
