About Nicolas
I’m a programmer with 16 years of experience, including 7 years at Microsoft working on real, production-level software. I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science focused on geometric processing, where I co-authored a research paper.
Earlier in my journey, I competed in ICPC programming competitions and participated in high-school math olympics. These experiences shaped my structured, analytical approach to problem-solving.
I genuinely enjoy teaching and helping others achieve their best. I’m known for my patience and my ability to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring new ideas. Although I’ve mostly taught friends in the past, those experiences helped me refine a personal, student-centered teaching style.
My long-term goal is to help students build a strong foundation in structured thinking — not only for programming, but for any area where clear reasoning and problem-solving matter, including everyday discussions and decision-making.

My lessons follow a personal, student‑centered approach. I believe people learn better when the material fits their reality, pace, and energy.
I focus on core fundamentals: structured thinking, logic, and problem‑solving. We combine theory with hands‑on experience so students see what both success and failure look like in a real programming workflow.
I begin by learning about the student’s background and identifying gaps. From there, I guide them through practical exercises that build confidence, pattern recognition, and the ability to break big challenges into small, manageable steps.
My goal is to help students grow into strong, independent programmers who can confidently explore new problems and venture into coding on their own.
