• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I teach Graphic Animation and Motion Graphics at Mac Institute Delhi. My interest in this field began when I was in college, pursuing a degree in Fine Arts. I was fascinated by the world of animation and visual effects, and I spent countless hours watching tutorials, attending workshops, and practicing my skills. As I delved deeper into the subject, I realized the immense potential of animation and motion graphics in storytelling, communication, and education.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My motivation for teaching comes from my passion for sharing knowledge and inspiring others. I believe that education has the power to transform lives, and I want to contribute to that process. My role models are my own teachers and mentors, who guided me and helped me grow as an artist and educator.

• How does your work help society?

  As a teacher of Graphic Animation and Motion Graphics, my work helps society in several ways. Firstly, I equip my students with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue careers in animation, visual effects, and related fields. This, in turn, contributes to the growth of the creative industry and the economy as a whole. Secondly, I encourage my students to use their skills to create content that promotes social awareness, education, and positive change.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  My role model is Pixar animator and director, Brad Bird. I admire his dedication to storytelling, his attention to detail, and his ability to inspire and motivate his team. His films, such as "The Incredibles" and "Ratatouille," are not only entertaining but also thought-provoking and emotionally resonant.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside teaching, I enjoy practicing yoga, reading books on art and history, and experimenting with new animation techniques and software. I also love traveling and exploring new places, which helps me stay inspired and motivated.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  One of my favorite memories as a teacher was when one of my students, who was struggling to create a 3D animation, finally succeeded in completing his project. The look of pride and accomplishment on his face was priceless, and it reminded me why I love teaching so much.
