About Delilah
With 7 years of tutoring experience, I have had the opportunity to teach chess to over 150 students, ranging from beginners to advanced players. My approach is centered on flexibility, communication, and creativity, ensuring that each student receives personalized instruction tailored to their unique learning style. I focus on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills, which are essential both in chess and in life. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, making learning chess both accessible and enjoyable. Through clear communication, I encourage students to ask questions and engage in discussions that enhance their understanding of the game. I also incorporate creative teaching methods, such as puzzles and game analysis, to keep lessons dynamic and fun. In addition to chess, I offer coaching in related games such as backgammon and checkers, enriching students' overall strategic thinking. My goal is to foster a love for chess while helping students build the skills necessary to succeed in both casual play and competitive environments.
