About Eleni
I am a Maths tutor with 9+ years of teaching experience and an MSc in Operations Research, and I specialise in helping students see mathematics as a practical and powerful tool rather than a collection of formulae. My strongest passion lies in financial mathematics and quantitative reasoning, especially in areas such as interest rates, investments, and risk analysis. I enjoy exploring how mathematical models explain real financial behaviour. In my teaching, I rely heavily on case studies drawn from finance and business to connect theory with application. My teaching approach is built on 9+ years of experience teaching Maths in a clear, structured, and progressive way. I believe strong results come from strong foundations, so every lesson starts with core algebraic concepts before moving forward. I focus on algebraic manipulation, functions, and equations because they support all advanced topics. From there, I guide students into calculus, covering differentiation and integration step by step. Geometry is taught through logical proofs to strengthen reasoning skills. Probability and statistics are introduced using real examples to make ideas practical. My lessons are highly structured, with each concept building naturally on the previous one. I pay close attention to students aiming to become Future Actuaries or strong Problem Solvers. I break complex problems into manageable steps. I offer tailored guidance based on each student’s level and goals. Every lesson follows a clear progression path. Understanding is always checked before moving ahead. My goal is deep, lasting confidence that helps students truly excel in Maths.
