Hello! I'm Jiebert, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics graduate, Cum Laude, from the University of Southeastern Philippines. I am currently a Mathematics teacher in a public school and am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals.
With both classroom teaching and tutoring experience, I understand that every student learns differently. I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their mathematical abilities. My name is Jiebert, and I am a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics graduate, Cum Laude, from the University of Southeastern Philippines. I am currently teaching Mathematics in a public school, where I help students develop confidence, logical reasoning, and strong problem-solving skills.
My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and goal-oriented. I believe that every learner has the ability to excel in Mathematics when concepts are presented in a clear, engaging, and practical way. I begin by assessing a student's current understanding, identifying areas of difficulty, and designing lessons that match their learning pace and needs. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and solve problems independently while providing guidance whenever necessary.
A typical lesson starts with a short review of previous concepts, followed by a discussion of new topics using simple explanations and real-life examples. We then work through guided examples together before moving on to independent practice. I provide immediate feedback, clarify misconceptions, and end each lesson with a summary and a few exercises to reinforce learning. Regular quizzes and progress checks help ensure that students master each topic before advancing.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience both inside and outside the classroom. As a licensed Mathematics teacher currently teaching in a public school, I understand the curriculum, common learning challenges, and effective strategies for helping students succeed. I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and building confidence in their mathematical abilities. My goal is not only to help students achieve higher grades but also to develop a genuine understanding and appreciation of Mathematics.
My lessons are designed for elementary, junior high school, senior high school, and college students who need assistance with Mathematics. I also welcome learners preparing for quizzes, examinations, entrance tests, and board examination review topics related to Mathematics. Whether a student needs help catching up, improving their grades, or mastering advanced concepts, I adapt each lesson to meet their individual goals and learning style.
