About Emma
I have a Bachelor of Music with a focus on trumpet performance. During my time at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, I performed across a multitude of ensembles including orchestrals ensembles, jazz bands, brass ensembles as well as many solo performances.
I have been playing, performing and learning trumpet since I was 7 years old, and learning music since I can remember.

For trumpet, I believe having a good technique is an important foundation for great playing. Depending on what you're looking to get out of your trumpet lessons, technique would be a focus for part of each session, but it's ultimately up to you and what you want.
More broadly speaking, as a teacher, I provide my students with:
- a fun and safe environment, conducive for learning and asking questions;
- the proper materials, as well as feedback, to help them learn, and;
- the knowledge and skills to help them become successful in their musical endeavours.
In return, I ask that students:
- be prepared for lessons (as best they can)
- be accepting of others
