About Carmen
Hi, I’m Carmen — a Malaysian-born language enthusiast with a passion for helping people find their voice in English.
My background might surprise you: I hold a Bachelor of Laws, which means I’ve spent years navigating complex language with precision and clarity. That love of words naturally led me to teaching, where I get to do something even more rewarding — help real people communicate with confidence in their everyday lives.
I’ve been tutoring casually for some time, and what I’ve come to cherish most is the human side of it. Every student carries a unique story, a different reason for wanting to learn, and I find that endlessly fascinating. Getting to know the person behind the lesson is just as important to me as the lesson itself.
