I am a Bachelor of Education (Primary) student at Manukau Institute of Technology, committed to supporting students in building confidence, understanding, and a positive attitude toward learning. My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching
My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and supportive. I focus on building a strong understanding of concepts rather than rote learning, while adapting my teaching style to suit each learner’s needs, pace, and confidence level.

I begin by identifying the student’s current level of understanding and any gaps in knowledge. Lessons are structured around clear learning goals, with concepts broken down into simple, logical steps. I use guided practice, worked examples, and questioning to check understanding throughout the lesson. I encourage students to explain their thinking, which helps strengthen conceptual clarity and confidence. Where appropriate, I use real-life examples and visual aids to make learning more engaging and relatable, especially in Mathematics.
Typical Length of a Lesson
