About Clay
Clay Liford is a graduate of the University of Texas film program. He has written and directed four features to date, including WUSS (SxSW 2011, AFI 2011 Audience Award Winner), EARTHLING (SxSW 2010) and SLASH (SxSW 2016).
His comedy short, MY MOM SMOKES WEED, has played over 40 festivals, including the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
As director of photography, Clay has shot 25 features, including the award-winning ST. NICK (SxSW 2009) & GAYBY (SxSW 2012). He also shot segments for the lucrative ABC'S of DEATH film series.
His TV sales include development deals leading to fully produced shows for Scott Free and CBS Viacom.
Clay also produced the Sundance 2014 short film RAT PACK RAT, a segment of the upcoming ABCs of DEATH 2, and co-wrote Yen Tan's upcoming ALL THAT WE LOVE (Tribeca FF 2024).
He is in pre-production on his next feature (dark) comedy...
