I have studied with a professional teacher with a master's degree in classical piano for a couple decades now. She is very strict. I am not. This is my secret -- I know that if the music isn't something you want to play, if the classes aren't fun, you won't practice. So I help with exercise training work AND improv, AND sheet music reading. You'll be a fully literate musician in only a month, but I hope you stick with it longer than that.:)
