Rourou is amazing! My wife and I reached out to Rourou 10 weeks before our wedding to teach us a wedding dance choreography to BTS - Dynamite.

Looking back, it was an impossible request: 1) we are both very awkward and have no prior dance experience, 2) BTS choreographies are notoriously difficult, 3) we wanted it to actually look cool and not like a lame dumbed down version, and 4) we only had 10 weeks to learn a full choreography.

Not only did she create and teach us an amazing and fun couples version of the BTS choreography, but she also tailored it perfectly to our dance ability while still challenging us to improve. She also went the extra mile - not just teaching us the basic moves, but also helping us refine all of the little details (like eye contact, posture, positioning, gestures, facial expressions) to make sure it actually looked good. She was also very patient and encouraging and made the whole process fun!

Our dance ended up being a huge hit and the highlight of our wedding night! Our guests kept talking to us afterwards about how amazing the dance was and everyone demanded an encore at the end of the night, so we actually ended up doing the dance twice that night! I highly recommend Rourou to anyone looking for a fun and skilled dance instructor who will make you look like a dance pro!

Rourou is a multi-faceted dancer, choreographer, and educator. Rourou and I have worked together in numerous capacities as dance artists and colleagues. She has an extensive dance background in contemporary and traditional movement forms, performance, choreography, mentorship, and teaching. She also maintains a thriving choreographic and movement practice. She is fluent in both Chinese and English, and has international experience working in both China and the USA. Her continual curiosity and commitment to her craft have led her to be fully attuned and engaged with her students.

Dancing with Rourou is so much fun and so rewarding! Her extensive background in dance theory and choreography is very apparent while she is teaching but more importantly she is just so much fun to learn from! Her style is very personalized for each student and she is so patient when working with you to make sure you are getting exactly what you are looking for out of the experience. She is very easy to learn from and she has wonderful movement and style that translates to a great carefree class where you feel great at the end of every class. I just love Rourou's classes and you will too!

Really enjoy dance with rourou! I found her on superprof. She is a talented dancer and have lot of experience about how to teach. As a beginner for contemporary dance. We start from focus on coordinating breath which is something I never actually think of in my whole life LOL...She didn't tend to teach specific choreographer but more about listen to the music and express what your body feel. I really enjoy this style. In my opinion dance is not just about learning other people's choreographer but more about following your body and music. And some day you can create your own choreographer.

If you have the opportunity to dance with, and learn from, Rourou, you would be lucky to have it! Rourou is an incredible dance artist and teacher. Her mastery of dance theory, and how she incorporates her experiences into her movements and choreography, are truly amazing to witness. She has taught me to be comfortable with my body, and *gasp* I even feel like I have control. I feel more stronger and more confident than I have in years, and I owe a lot of it to Rourou. She will challenge you, and your mind and body might not necessarily appreciate it at the moment, but it’s obviously the only way to grow. Rourou’s emphasis on mental peace, strength, and exploration as a crucial piece of dancing, makes her classes both physical and mentally rigorous, but I love it! Rourou is kind, fun, thoughtful, and disciplined - I feel very fortunate to be her student, and I hope others can experience the joys and rewards of being her student! :)

Rourou has a very strong dance background, and I can say very experienced in teaching. The way she teaches makes the material super easy to learn. If you need one word to describe the process, it would be Magical. I can’t believe how much I’ve learned within just one class. The way the lesson flowed made me wanna come back to her again and definitely recommend it to others who are seeking a superior dance experience.
