About Piers
Hi, I’m Piers Goffart—an award-winning filmmaker, animator and illustrator based in Hamburg, Germany.
I teach Blender with a fun, project-based approach, helping you design cute, appealing characters and bring them to life with strong, character-driven storytelling.
I also teach regularly at the Design Akademie Hamburg, and have worked with clients like Meta, Bosch, E.ON and WDR.

**Session 1 (Goal & roadmap)**
* We define your goals, current level, and preferred style
* I answer your most urgent questions and check your workflow
* We create a clear plan for the next lessons
**From Session 2 onward (Flexible mini curriculum)**
* Shape language, silhouette, and proportions for appealing characters
* Stylized character modeling in Blender (blocking → refinement)
* Cleaner meshes & topology basics (avoiding common beginner mistakes)
* Simple materials/shaders to support the character’s look
* Lighting & rendering for strong presentation (portfolio-ready images)

* Bring your own project or we build one from scratch
* Hands-on practice + targeted feedback every lesson
