As a practicing attorney, certified interfaith minister, and dedicated mom, I bring over 15 years of professional experience to every lesson. My background in English and law gives me a strong foundation in reading comprehension, critical thinking, and persuasive writing — all skills I love helping students master. I’ve worked with learners of all ages, from middle school to college level, and I tailor each session to meet their unique needs. About the lesson

My approach as a tutor blends the clarity of a practicing attorney with the heart of a former English major. I focus on helping students not only understand the material, but express themselves with confidence, clarity, and purpose — skills that serve them well beyond the classroom.

Teaching Method:
I believe in meeting students where they are. My method is conversational, supportive, and structured — designed to break down complex concepts into simple, relatable steps. As a minister, I lead with kindness and compassion. As a mom, I know how to be direct and caring at the same time. I ask thoughtful questions to guide critical thinking and help students find their own voice in both analysis and writing.

Lesson Plan:
A typical session starts with a check-in and review of the student’s current assignments or goals. We’ll read or review a passage together, discuss it in depth, and then work through a writing or comprehension task tailored to their needs. I give clear, constructive feedback and help students improve over time.
