About Keane
Hi there!
My name is Keane (pronounced 'K-ian'), and I am a humanities Tutor here on Superprof.
A little bit about me: I'm currently reading for a Masters at the University of Cambridge where I study the History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine (my research focuses on the philosophy of science bit; go ahead and ask me about it during a lesson, and I'll try not put you to sleep!). Before that, I was an undergraduate at the London School of Economics and Political Science and before THAT, I was an A-level and GCSE student like many of you. Unlike some of my peers, I grew up without certain privileges and, as such, made my way through academia with determination and hard work alone. I believe that many students throughout the country are in a similar position, and that's why I've decided to become a tutor.

My teaching style is very relaxed. I understand that tutoring can be daunting, but I'll do my best to make our lessons anxiety-free while also pushing you to achieve your academic potential. It's important to me that students (you!) find every minute of our lessons helpful and instructive. As such, our time together will be based entirely around your academic needs. We'll begin with a very general, casual chat to see where you might need support before deciding, week by week, what kind of tutoring you require, whether it be help with subject content, writing advice, or even tips to manage exam stress (I have survived more exams than any human safely should!). In summary: the GREAT benefit of tuition is the chance to work one-on-one. It only makes sense then for our lessons to be guided by you and your academic needs.
