About Matthew
I am a frozen ATPL holder with three years of flight instruction experience at a major UK DTO for general aviation training. I have taught many students all the way through their courses of LAPL, PPL, and to obtain their IMC ratings. As well as their flying training I have always offered ground school to my students, who value the tuition I give. It is tailored to their own knowledge and experience - something you can expect too. My tuition is designed to help properly cement the concepts and information you need, not just for ticking the exam boxes but to keep you flying safe long term

I teach online, with an emphasis on getting past the tricky bits of the PPL subjects that can't just be remembered by reading a book - subjects such as principles of flight, navigation, aircraft general knowledge, and flight planning that require that bit more explanation to help you understand and will keep you safe throughout your flying career! I received my PPL license 6 months ago and I’m sure that without Matt’s help in ground school, this wouldn’t have happened. He really is a knowledgeable and reliable teacher. Every lesson was taught in great detail and thorough explanations. I would recommend Matt to everyone without hesitation. He’s not only a good instructor but a great person to know!
I wouldn't have a PPL if it wasn't for Matt. He's incredibly knowledgeable about all things aviation, but able to explain complex topics in a way that makes them not only understandable but also memorable - and if the first explanation doesn't work, there will always be a Plan B that will. I'd recommend Matt to anyone who wants a thorough and comprehensive grounding in the theory (and practice!) of flying - not only is he a great instructor, he's ever so patient, encouraging and a genuinely good bloke. 100% recommended.
