About Ryan
As a young university student, I am approachable and easy to communicate with. I understand that students may sometimes doubt their own abilities, particularly when a subject becomes challenging.
I experienced that feeling myself when I began Higher Mathematics, and I know how much of a difference it can make to gradually build confidence. I aim to be a supportive and reliable tutor who helps students recognise their own ability and feel more comfortable with the subjects they are studying.

My approach to tutoring is centred on understanding the fundamentals rather than simply memorising formulae or working through repetitive worksheets. I like to use worked examples, diagrams, graphs, and visual explanations to make difficult concepts easier to understand.
I am currently studying Astrophysics at the University of Glasgow, with a strong foundation in Mathematics and Physics through my degree and laboratory work. My studies have covered areas including Newtonian mechanics, oscillating systems, nuclear and particle physics, and any form of calculus. Having been tutored myself in Higher Mathematics and Physics, I understand the importance of clear explanations and building confidence. My lessons are aimed at S4-6 students studying any level of Mathematics and Physics in Scotland.
